View Larger Image CRABTREE FALLS drops 70 feet on Big Crabtree Creek in Yancey County, North Carolina.  It's a 0.9 mile downhill hike to the falls from the Crabtree Meadows Recreation Area parking lot located at mile market 339.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The return trip is pretty strenuous up the slope, but cetainly worth the effort!  This is a memorable hike through a magical forest to a beautiful and powerful waterfall.
