WHITEWATER FALLS drops over 411 feet on the Whitewater River in the Nantahala National Forest in
Transylvania and Jackson Counties, North Carolina. This powerful falls is considered the most spectacular
waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. This photo was taken during the peak of fall foliage colors. This
is the upper cascade.
